Airex® C70

AIREX® C70 is a closed-cell, cross-linked polymer foam core designed for lightweight composite sandwich structures requiring high strength, stiffness, and durability. It offers excellent strength-to-weight and stiffness-to-weight ratios, good impact and fatigue resistance, low resin absorption, and negligible water uptake. The fine cell structure provides an excellent bonding surface, while its resistance to chemicals and styrene supports long-term performance in demanding environments. Compatible with most resin systems and manufacturing processes, including hand lay-up, vacuum infusion, RTM, prepreg, and thermoforming, AIREX® C70 is widely used in marine, transportation, wind energy, aerospace, recreation, and industrial applications. Its combination of lightweight performance, toughness, thermal insulation, and sound dampening makes it an ideal core material for structures subjected to both static and dynamic loads.
