Composites One Hosts Aerospace-Focused Closed Mold Workshop in Mexico
Composites One recently hosted Transfiriendo Tecnología en Materiales Compuestos, a two-day technical workshop in Querétaro, Mexico, focused on closed mold processes for Aerospace manufacturing. The event brought together more than 80 attendees from leading Aerospace manufacturers across Mexico for technical education, live demonstrations, and collaboration focused on advancing composites manufacturing.
Throughout the workshop, attendees explored key composites processes and technologies used in Aerospace production, including vacuum infusion, prepreg processing, process materials, tooling considerations, and other advanced manufacturing solutions. Led by the Composites One Technical Team and supported by supplier partners, Transfiriendo Tecnología en Materiales Compuestos provided attendees with practical insights into material selection, process optimization, and manufacturing best practices.
The workshop took place at the Universidad Aeronáutica en Querétaro, or UNAQ, a leading Aerospace university and training facility dedicated to preparing specialized talent for Mexico’s aviation and aerospace industries. With its strong connection to the aerospace sector, UNAQ provided an ideal setting for education, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
This event was made possible through the collaboration and support of Composites One’s supplier partners, including Chomarat, Chem-Trend, Sika, and Hexcel, along with industry partner FEMIA. Their participation helped deliver a comprehensive learning experience, connecting attendees with material expertise, process knowledge, and real-world solutions that support more efficient and reliable aerospace composites manufacturing.
At Composites One, we are committed to providing our customers with industry-leading resources, hands-on support, and access to the materials and expertise they need to be successful. We are proud to bring this same commitment to our customers and the Aerospace industry in Mexico, supporting manufacturers with the solutions, supplier partnerships, and technical expertise needed to continue advancing high-performance composites manufacturing.
